What payment never buys
A paid plan never changes a score, a ranking position, a verification status or which lawyers are ranked. Every paid element is labelled and shown outside the ranked list. See how rankings work and the advertising policy.

Sponsored spots in rankings
Be seen by people reading the ranking for your city and practice area. Your card appears right below the ranked list, so it is the first profile readers see after the ranking itself.
What your card shows
- Your name, photo, firm and city, labelled “Sponsored · Paid”
- Your real position, for example “Ranked #7 in this ranking”
- Your verification badge and a link to your profile
- Shown on the ranking page for as long as the spot is booked
The rules
- At most 2 sponsors per ranking, shown in booking order: no bidding
- Only for lawyers who already appear in that ranking
- Your profile must be claimed and your bar license in good standing
- The order of the ranking and every score stay exactly the same

Firm profile Pro
Everything in Profile Pro for the firm page: your logo, a team list linking to each lawyer’s profile, several offices, a contact form that emails enquiries to the firm and a “Featured” card on the city and practice-area pages where the firm practises. Each lawyer of the firm can still claim their own profile for free.
How to start
- Find your profile in the lawyer directory or the firm directory.
- Choose “Claim this profile” and confirm your email.
- An editor checks your identity, usually within 2 business days. Send us your photo and it goes on your profile.
- Pick a paid plan above and pay on the secure Stripe page, or keep the free claimed profile.
- We switch on your plan and email you to collect your description, buttons and other details.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for a higher position in a LexRanked ranking?
No. Positions come only from the published LexRank methodology. The ranking code cannot read payment data, every paid element is labelled, and paid cards are shown outside the ranked list. Read the advertising policy.
Is claiming my profile free?
Yes. Open your profile, choose “Claim this profile” and confirm your email. An editor checks your identity against your bar record, your firm’s website or by phone. After that you can send us your photo. Claiming never changes a score or position.
Why is the phone number not clickable on a free profile?
Your number and email are always shown on your profile as plain text. One-tap calling and emailing from the profile are part of the paid plans, starting with Profile Plus.
Can I edit the facts on my profile myself?
You can write your own description, add a photo and buttons on a paid plan. Facts that feed the score, such as board certification, years in practice, education and practice areas, still need a public source and an editor’s review, so the rankings stay comparable.
What is the founding price?
The first 200 lawyers and firms who subscribe keep the launch price for 24 months and get the first month free, or 2 extra months on a yearly plan. Checkout shows whether the offer still applies before you pay.
How do I pay?
By card on a secure Stripe checkout page, in US dollars; LexRanked never sees your card details. You can add your firm’s name, address and tax ID, and every payment comes with an invoice. Your plan shows on your profile once an editor has confirmed that the profile is yours, usually within 2 business days. If we cannot confirm it, we cancel the plan and refund the payment.
How does a sponsored spot on a ranking work?
Choose “Book this spot” on the ranking page or write to us with the ranking’s address. We check that you appear in that ranking and that your profile is claimed and in good standing, then send a payment link. Your card shows below the ranked list, labelled “Sponsored”, with your real position. At most 2 sponsors per ranking.
Do you guarantee calls or clients?
No. We show your profile and paid cards to people looking for a lawyer and report views and clicks, but we never promise a number of calls, cases or clients.
Do you charge per lead or per client?
No. Plans are flat monthly or yearly subscriptions. LexRanked is not a lawyer referral service and never takes a share of legal fees.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
Yes, at any time, from the billing page with the email you subscribed with: switch between monthly and yearly, change your card, download invoices or cancel. A plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and the free claimed profile stays. Manage your plan.
